CLIK Appoints R. Srinivasan as President for 2026–28 Term

The Consortium of Electronic Industries of Karnataka (CLIK) has appointed R. Srinivasan, representing Uniq Power Solutions, as its President for the 2026–28 tenure. The leadership transition comes as the regional industry body moves to enhance member engagement, facilitate cross-enterprise collaboration, and support the broader electronics manufacturing base in Karnataka.

Srinivasan’s elevation to the presidency follows an extensive track record within the organisation. He joined CLIK in 2008 and has served on its Executive Committee for over twelve years, contributing to the consortium’s operational programmes, technical initiatives, and institutional outreach. In his executive role, he will guide CLIK’s strategic agenda to align member capabilities with evolving domestic industrial demands.

Established in 1982 and headquartered in Bengaluru, CLIK operates as a non-profit trade association dedicated to representing electronics manufacturers and allied enterprises across Karnataka. The platform serves as a nexus for member companies to build commercial partnerships, exchange engineering knowledge, participate in industrial exhibitions, and coordinate with state and central government departments on regulatory frameworks and industrial policy. These efforts focus on improving the technical readiness and overall operational competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the electronics sector.

The leadership change coincides with a critical phase in the expansion of India’s electronics manufacturing and semiconductor ecosystem. Karnataka, long anchored by its system design and engineering talent pool, is working to translate that engineering footprint into deeper hardware production capacity across electronic manufacturing services (EMS), industrial electronics, power systems, and specialized hardware. As national initiatives encourage higher domestic value addition and localized sourcing, industry associations serve an essential role in bridging the gap between small-scale tier suppliers, large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and statutory authorities.

Srinivasan’s two-year tenure provides an opportunity to consolidate member engagement across emerging technology domains, from power conversion systems to embedded hardware assemblies. By maintaining structured dialogues between industry players, research bodies, and policy officials, CLIK aims to strengthen the regional supply chain foundation necessary to support sustainable domestic electronics manufacturing.
