Aratas to showcase switching, connecting and sensing technologies for semiconductor testing at electronica 2026

Aratas Corporation will demonstrate how its switching and sensing technologies can help equipment designers reduce size, detect human movement and address semiconductor testing requirements at electronica 2026. Taking place in Munich from 10–13 November, the exhibition will bring together hands-on demonstrations and application displays at Hall B3, stand 410.

Aratas’ participation follows its transition to an independent company under a new management structure in October 2026. Building on more than 90 years of technological heritage from OMRON’s electronic components business, Aratas brings a dedicated focus to switching, connecting and sensing. At electronica 2026, the company will demonstrate how this expertise is being applied to practical component choices in electrification, smart automation and semiconductor testing.

For designers seeking to reduce the size of power-switching equipment, a hands-on demonstration will compare printed circuit board (PCB) power relays with conventional contactors. It will show how compact, high-capacity PCB relays can offer an alternative in suitable applications, allowing load-switching functionality to be integrated directly onto the PCB.

A partner’s electric vehicle (EV) charger will also be on display, illustrating how Aratas’ component technologies apply to EV-charging equipment. Together, these exhibits will allow visitors to explore switching technologies alongside an example of their use in electrification.

Interactive sensing demonstrations will feature Aratas’ 3D Multi-Area Sensor technology for human-movement detection and tracking, alongside its AM1 top-down view human body detection software. AM1 uses overhead camera images to locate workers and monitor time spent at each manufacturing process, helping identify opportunities to improve productivity. Visitors can explore these technologies as part of the company’s wider offering for smart automation.

The showcase will also cover signal-control and high-frequency technologies, together with Electro Formed Components (EFC) sockets and probe pins for integrated circuit (IC) testing. Visitors will also be able to see Aratas’ new SiC MOSFET and reed relays for automated test equipment (ATE). These displays will complement the power-switching and sensing demonstrations, extending the focus to component requirements in semiconductor test applications.

Product samples, digital brochures and technical materials will be available to support customer and media discussions throughout the exhibition.
