Manufacturing Operations and Technology Infrastructure Enhancement for Specialty Foundry XIVER

Specialty Microsystems and Photonic Foundry company XIVER successfully secured senior debt financing of €28 million through a financing deal with ABN AMRO. The substantial sum is expected to be used to implement a large-scale modernization of XIVER’s production capacity and technical base.

This particular credit arrangement comprises a sizable portion of the total €55 million capital project. Under this massive plan, the firm expects not only to significantly enhance its productive capacity but also to improve its technical capacities. It should be emphasized that this particular capital inflow plays a pivotal role in enabling the firm to meet growing requests from foreign clients, which produce innovative semiconductor and photonic devices.

Strengthening Support for Advanced Technologies

Headquartered at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, XIVER focuses on delivering custom foundry solutions. XIVER plays an important role in connecting companies, enabling them to take their most complex technological ideas from the design and development stages directly to mass production.

The services of XIVER cater to a broad spectrum of innovative industries. They include semiconductor equipment companies, firms designing ultrasonic transducers, optical communication companies, and specialists in infrared sensing and imaging technologies.

One of the main goals of this growth strategy is to improve assistance to companies that are involved in integrated photonic chips along with other advanced semiconductor devices.

Early-Stage Collaboration and Engineering Approach

At the moment, XIVER has a specialized team of more than one hundred specialists. All of them work with customers starting from the first stages of the product development.

With the help of design for manufacturing principles along with concurrent engineering approach, the company tries to identify all manufacturing problems as early as possible. Thanks to that, the company manages to create efficient manufacturing processes before moving on to mass production.

Meeting Global Demand in a Growing Market

Commenting on the successful arrangement of this credit facility, XIVER Chief Executive Wil van de Wiel expressed deep appreciation of the quick success that the team achieved in such a short period of time. The CEO noted that the financial support of their investors and ABN AMRO allows them to scale up production and comfortably fulfill the rising requests from their clients worldwide.

Indeed, this event is only one example of the ongoing processes in the tech sector. Nowadays, when photonics, advanced sensors, and special semiconductors are used more and more often by modern companies, foundries can assist inventors to implement complicated hardware inventions into commercial use.
